Who can apply ?
- The EIR Applicant should have completed: Minimum 4 years of formal full time undergraduate/post graduate education towards one or more degree programme. Basic degree or diploma should be in science or engineering. (OR) 3 years degree or diploma program and have 2 year full time work experience post degree or diploma. Basic degree or diploma should be in science or engineering
- EIR support recipient are expected to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations full time. EIR cannot be concurrent with any other remuneration or fellowship
- Entrepreneurs with a business model and no established company can apply
- Graduated students who are having entrepreneurial mindset can apply
- Proposed solution should have AIML, CV, Robotics powered Tech
- Please note that candidates applying under the SC and ST categories should provide a caste certificate as will be requested by the PEP (Program execution partner) at the time of application

OJAS PEP
Post-Doc Entrepreneurship Program
OJAS PEP Program is for scientists completing their Ph.D.s and wanting to pursue an entrepreneurial career. The program offers post-doctoral training focused on building a solution (device, app, digital tool) to address problems in disease detection, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, monitoring or wellness.
The scientist will need to select a professor from IIIT, who will guide the work. The Ph.D. supervisor of the candidate can also be a collaborator for the project, if the product idea is based on the candidate’s thesis work. A stipend will be provided for 12 months, and can be extended to another 12 months.
At the end of this period, the scientist is expected to incorporate a company and take the product forward. Seed funding up to Rs 25 lakhs will be available to the company upon incorporation. In parallel, the entrepreneur will have access to a network of investors through Ojas, to raise equity capital.
