CIE-IIITH Hosts Winter 2025 Demo Day: 13 Deep tech Startups pitch to Investors
CIE hosted its Winter 2025 Demo Day on 18th December 2025 at IIIT Hyderabad, showcasing 13 emerging startups across DeepTech, MedTech, AI, Mobility, Climate Tech, robotics, language technologies, and space systems. These startups, drawn from CIE’s Avishkar (DeepTech), MedTech Incubator, and AIC–Social Accelerator programs, presented research-driven and cutting-edge innovations. The Demo Day was attended by over 20 leading investors actively exploring scalable technology ventures, making it a strong platform for startup–investor engagement.
Aligned with CIE’s “Lab-to-Land” approach, the showcased startups are translating applied research from IIIT-H labs such as CVIT, RRC, CVEST, and SPCRC into deployable, market-ready solutions. Their work spans intelligent sensing, AI-driven diagnostics, autonomous systems, sustainable materials, and next-generation infrastructure, delivering measurable societal, environmental, and economic impact. Startups presented validated technologies, market traction, and investment readiness to a curated investor group including SucSEED Venture Partners, Abyro Capital, O2 VC Fund, Hyderabad Angels, Pavestone VC, and Gruhas, reinforcing CIE’s role as a bridge between academic research and real-world innovation.

CIE IIITH Annual Ecosystem Mixer | Dec 18
CIE IIITH hosted its Annual Ecosystem Mixer on December 18, 2025, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from the startup ecosystem, including VCs and funds, corporate leaders, IIIT-H faculty, mentors, incubators, accelerators, startups, and ecosystem enablers. The evening provided a vibrant platform for meaningful conversations, reflections on the year gone by, and reconnecting with familiar faces across the ecosystem.
The mixer served as a celebration of collaboration and community, marking another successful year of enabling research-driven startups at CIE. With engaging discussions, networking, and informal interactions, the event reinforced CIE’s role as a bridge between startups, research, industry, and investors within the broader innovation ecosystem.

CIE at IIIT Hyderabad is a technology incubator with rich experience in seeding, nurturing, and growing deep-tech startups in emerging segments like med-tech, tech4social, visual informatics, data engineering, and machine learning, language technologies, gaming, and robotics. CIE IIITH, with a research-led innovation as its primary mandate, focuses on amplifying technology through research collaboration and co-creation models for startups to work with research groups at IIITH.
Under the CIE umbrella, there are 3 active incubators: the Deeptech incubator (Avishkar), the Medtech incubator (Ojas) & the Social incubator (AIC). CIE also includes enabling labs such as a well-equipped Maker Lab, a Medical Electronics Calibration Lab, and a AR/VR lab. IIIT Hyderabad also includes Product Labs to seed new products from research — a pre-incubation program to seed startups from research.
In the past 15 years we have grown to be the largest academic incubator in the country, have housed over 450+ startups that have raised about 250+Cr funding, and created over 2500+ jobs. Today there are very active programs focused on emerging technology startups, research-based startups, medical technologies, and social technology startups.
