CV Labs Cohort 2 Wraps Up Successfully !!!
CIE IIIT Hyderabad has successfully completed the first cohort of Creating Venture (CV) Labs, a 2-week intensive bootcamp themed around Large Language Models (LLMs). The program attracted over 30 startup registrations, with 7 selected to participate in this highly curated experience, led by Prof. Manish Srivastava and his research assistants.

IIIT Hyderabad launches online course on AI for medical professionals
IIIT Hyderabad has launched a 12-week online course on 'AI for Medical Professionals' in collaboration with NAMS and IHub-Data. The course aims to equip medical professionals with skills to understand and apply AI technologies in clinical settings. It includes video lectures, weekly sessions, case studies, quizzes, and assessments, leading to certification upon completion.
IIITH Study Shows Gig Workers Game App Algorithms
A recent study by researchers at the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) found that while algorithms of food delivery apps are imposing demanding targets on workers, the workers, in turn, are gaming them to make a decent living. The study, conducted by Prof. Nimmi Rangaswamy and her student Tanmay Goyal, examined the dynamics of food delivery work in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai and found that gig work is beneficial to workers in India and the Global South despite its demanding nature.

CIE at IIIT Hyderabad is a technology incubator with rich experience in seeding, nurturing, and growing deep-tech startups in emerging segments like med-tech, tech4social, visual informatics, data engineering, and machine learning, language technologies, gaming, and robotics. CIE IIITH, with a research-led innovation as its primary mandate, focuses on amplifying technology through research collaboration and co-creation models for startups to work with research groups at IIITH.
Under the CIE umbrella, there are 3 active incubators: deeptech incubator (Avishkar), the Medtech incubator (Ojas) & the social incubator (AIC). CIE also includes enabling labs like a well-equipped Maker Lab, a medical electronics calibration lab, and a AR/VR lab. IIIT Hyderabad also has Product Labs to seed new products from research, a pre-incubation program to seed startups from research.
In the past 15 years we have grown to be the largest academic incubator in the country, have housed over 450+ startups that have raised about 250+Cr funding, and created over 2500+ jobs. Today there are very active programs focused on emerging technology startups, research-based startups, medical technologies, and social technology startups.
